Embracing Elderhood: Creating a Plan for Aging

February 21 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

The topic of aging can be difficult for many families, however, by embracing elderhood and proactively planning for your later years, you can live the life you envision as you age.

While having a will and other legal documents is a good first step, they may only useful after you die or become incapacitated. Having a plan for aging that addresses your legal, financial and long-term care needs is critical for you to live the life you want as you age. The current long term care system is fragmented and confusing and can become overwhelming for families. That is why education and assistance are so critical.

Laurie Menzies, elder law and estate planning attorney, author and speaker on issues related to planning for aging will conduct a free seminar to share valuable information about issues of concern to many seniors and their families and the steps to create a plan for aging.

Laurie is a senior partner with Pfalzgraf, Beinhauer & Menzies, the only law firm in Western New York that provides a comprehensive approach to address legal, financial and medical issues seniors face as they age. In addition, Laurie has recently published a practical guide for families on the topic of planning for aging called Embracing Elderhood: Planning for the Next Stage of Life.
